The Peace Corps uses volunteers to help promote a better understanding of other people’s needs in the world. As we know many countries are very unfortunate. The Peace Corps has had 187,000 people volunteer within 139 countries. The volunteers work with governments, schools, non-profit organizations, and entrepreneurs in the areas of education, health, HIV/AIDS, business, information technology, agriculture, and the environment. They are a very strong group of people with willpower, purpose, and strength of mind. Without this organization and strong group of volunteers we would not be able to help out the other countries in our world that are less privileged than our country.

The honor, spirit and resources of the American people are exemplified when Americans help others when in need. Whether it’s during earthquakes, floods, fires, or storms, we all expect blood to be there for us. However, barely a fraction of those who can give blood actually do. Yet sooner or later, virtually all of us will face a time of great vulnerability in which we will need blood. And unfortunately, this time of need is far too unexpected. Help The Red Cross association in changing American lives, one person at a time.
